1. About Axent
Axent is a speech-to-speech AI viva simulator designed to help ENT surgeons prepare for the FRCS (ORL-HNS) Part 2 oral examination. It is operated by [Founder full legal name / Company name], registered in [England and Wales]. Registered address: [Address]. Contact email: [hello@axent.app].
By creating an account and using Axent, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Service Description
2.1 What Axent provides
- •AI examiners and patients rendered as live video, asking clinical questions
- •Speech-to-text conversion of your spoken answers
- •AI-generated feedback including key point coverage analysis and qualitative commentary
- •A live transcript of each session
- •A downloadable PDF report of your feedback
2.2 What Axent does not provide
Axent is a revision and practice tool only. It is not:
- •A substitute for formal clinical training, supervised surgical practice, or professional medical education
- •A guarantee of exam success or any particular clinical outcome
- •A source of verified medical advice or clinical guidance
- •An accredited assessment tool recognised by the Royal College of Surgeons of England or any examining body
Feedback generated by Axent is produced by an AI language model. It is provided for educational purposes only. It may be incomplete, inaccurate, or not reflective of current clinical guidelines. Always verify clinical information against authoritative sources and consult appropriate supervisors.
2.3 Exam scope
Axent covers the viva (oral) component of the FRCS (ORL-HNS) Part 2 examination only. Clinical short cases, communication skills stations, and operative surgery stations are not simulated.
3. Account Registration and Access
3.1 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. Axent is intended for use by qualified or trainee medical professionals preparing for surgical examinations.
3.2 Waitlist and approval
Access to Axent is granted by invitation during the MVP phase. Creating an account places you on a waitlist. Access is granted at the sole discretion of Axent. We reserve the right to approve or decline any application without providing a reason.
3.3 Account security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must not share your account with any other person. You must notify us immediately at [hello@axent.app] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
3.4 Account termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms, misuse the service, or if we determine at our discretion that continued access is not appropriate.
4. Session Caps and Usage Limits
4.1 Free tier
Users approved during the MVP phase receive access to 5 free single station sessions. Mock exam sessions (4 stations) are not available on the free tier.
4.2 Cap enforcement
Sessions count toward your cap only upon full completion and feedback generation. Abandoning a session mid-way does not consume a cap slot.
4.3 Post-cap access
Once your session cap is reached, you will not be able to start new sessions. Your account, dashboard, and all past feedback remain fully accessible. You will be notified when paid subscription plans become available.
4.4 Future plans
Paid subscription plans are planned for future release and are not currently available. Details will be communicated to registered users when available.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- •Use Axent for any purpose other than personal examination preparation
- •Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, reproduce, or redistribute any content, questions, or feedback generated by Axent
- •Attempt to circumvent session caps, authentication, or any access controls
- •Use Axent in any way that violates applicable law or regulation
- •Transmit any harmful, offensive, or unlawful content during session recordings
- •Share, sell, or sublicense your account access to any third party

6. Intellectual Property
All content within Axent, including but not limited to the software, question content, feedback structures, user interface, and branding, is owned by or licensed to [Company name] and is protected by intellectual property law.
Your session transcripts are your data. We do not claim ownership of the content of your spoken answers. We process this data solely to provide you with feedback as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- •Axent and its operators are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on AI-generated feedback for clinical practice, examination decisions, or any other purpose

- •We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages arising from use of the service
- •Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Axent shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, for MVP free users, is zero)
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
